Your journey to becoming a Queensland police officer

The Queensland Police Service (QPS) offers a range of entry pathways to police recruit training, depending on your background and experience.

After the initial QPS Eligibility Test, if you appear eligible, you may submit an Expression of Interest to the QPS Recruiting team to commence the application process.

  • What is the QPS Eligibility Test?

The online test is the first step in determining whether you meet the initial requirements to join the Queensland Police Service as a police officer. It also provides valuable information to help you prepare for the application process.

    • Time required: Approximately 7 minutes
    • Format: Multiple-choice questions
    • Purpose: Assess eligibility and readiness for the recruit application process

Important: If you provide incorrect, incomplete or misleading information, it may be considered an integrity matter, so it is essential that you answer each question accurately.
